As the weather warms up and the flooding stops, we know Spring is here. Singapore doesn't exactly have 4 seasons (although we have sunny, very sunny, rainy and cloudy) for us to play dress up, but that is not an excuse to be in slippers, shorts and teeshirt all the time.

What is Spring without prints and patterns? Liven things up with with a printed top or bottom like Jason Wu. If you are daring enough, mix and match different prints and wear them altogether as seen on Chris Benz and Diane von Furstenburg. But remember, choose your prints wisely as large prints overwhelm small frames and vice versa.
The seventies look is pretty evident in the New York shows. If you are afraid of looking too vintage or costume-y, go simple with the classic 70’s denim look – loosely fitted. Derek Lam and Céline rocked full-leg trousers while Stella McCartney showcased utilitarian A-line dresses and tunics.
As winter gives way to the warmer weather, expect lots of sheer fabric that’s perfect for Singapore’s tropical climate. It was sporty at Alexander Wang, sophisticated at Prabal Gurang and just plain sexy at Thakoon.
