i am highly disturbed. at this moment, im " yeo zhiming" on msn. idk how to change my name in adium, i have no desire to be my brother's clone! mac is so terribly hard to adapt to. this is an open invitation to macfanboys to share with me how wonderful mac is.
today's interview with the manager went pretty okay, better than the first i think. plus he's so nice. and i like his shoes. i hope i get the job. cross my fingers, cross my toes!

2am hunger pangs are not satiated as i polish off this minuscule bag of chocolate chip and pecan cookies weighing a measly 100g. as i let my thoughts drift to the extremely yummy ramen at central mall, i come to a conclusion that men are like ramen.
there's the common type which you only settle for when youre hungry and desperate. the men you will only date if youre lonely and deprived. (although some may choose to stay lonely and deprived)
the try-to-be-different innovative (or strangely flavoured) ramen. seemingly interesting at first, but tastes bland and disappointing, but of course, there's the aquired taste which some will take liking to. quite a phenomena in the younger crowd where the kids are still looking for their identity.
the quite yummy but lacking something which you just cant put your finger to it type. which most will try to figure out what is missing and try to change it by ie, adding condiments. alas, they will realise that they cant change it to suit their liking and they have to make do with it. very much like women getting into a relationship overlooking the problem and trying to change the man they love, but really, you cant ever change anyone. and this is when they come to a realisation, so they either stick with it or change their ramen.
finally, we have the uncommon, the paramount of great tasting ramen, always sold out quick. you only find it once in a lifetime, while some dont find it at all. so when you do, grab hold of it, order it before that lady behind you does. if you dont, well, the one that got away leaves an unforgettable taste, be prepared for regrets.
then again, the men and ramen comparison is brought to a whole new level when asthetics come in. but thats another story for another day.
for now, i shall go and sleep stop thinking of food. goodnight all!
ps-ramen preferences differ.

credits to the sart love his jacket, and those shoes.
if only men like him are a common sight in sg.

ooh-er.
youre the type my eyes have yet to see,
the kind whose shell i cannot crack.

dont make me choose between the two. i hate to choose, i hate choices, really. its either this or that, never both. you always need to choose when you think youre in control, on a roll, having it all, and then white light decomposes into a kaleidoscope of colours. like how there are two sides of a coin, six faces on a dice, only one life to live.
i always have the tendency to pick the wrong choice, somehow. choosing the wrong person to trust, the wrong words to say, the wrong guy to love. not very bright i suppose, but i often hope my choices would be the right kind of wrong.
my heart wears rose tinted glasses and behind those glasses lies a wide eyed innocence with a flicker of confusion. this fickle little thing that beats so haphazardly, is my heart.
everyone wants you the way they want you to be, so you tell the world what they want to hear.
at the end of the day, you ask yourself, "is this who i am? or who i want to be?"

between a smile and a smirk, line and a curve,
dreams and hallucinations laced with ecstasy.
two parallels never converging, neither diverging,
a map of your mind for amusement tendencies.
unaware of the passage of time, speed of light,
no boundaries formed in the gardens of fantasy.

a very sexy man looking great in his slick suit, getting defeated by his own cockiness is a crying shame, wasted pity, through and though.

and it came to me then,
that we were wonderful travelling companions.
but in the end, we were no more than two lonely lumps of metal on their own separate orbits.
from far off they look like beautiful shooting stars.
when the orbits of these two satellites of ours, happen to cross paths, we could be together.
maybe even, open our hearts to each other.
but that was only for the briefest instant.
the next instant, we would be in absolute solitude.
until we burn up and became, nothing.

7 hours ago, the UN reported that Global Warming is to worsen food crisis.
you read it and oh, look at these shoes, i need to check if they have it in my size. like a smoker looking at the sign on the box, "smoking causes lung cancer". things that happen gradually dont scare, honestly.
the rate of warming in the last 50 years was double the rate observed over the last 100 years. and i suppose that is too gradual for some people to see. the tragedy is not happening to them selfish people to see for themselves. must another natural disaster heightened by the conditions of the earth's increasing heat happen before you care? it is happening actually. or wait, you can blame it on your government anyway. come on, your government isnt the only one who lives on the planet. your friends, your family, you all do.
everyone can do something about Global Warming, nobody is too small. take the public transport whenever you can, buy a hybrid car if you must, stop taking those damned plastic bags with every purchase, recycle.
you can either click here to learn more, or continue checking if they have those shoes in your size.
really, you dont need to see your friend/family die of lung cancer before you stop.

i cut my hair a couple days back. nothing radical. just enough to make me look different. noticably different. no, my heart didnt wince when those long locks were layered off, not even once. because in a while, my hair will look like how it used to before, its a cycle. like how im stuck in this rut again. terrible at dealing with rejection, academia gives me a headache.

inhaling slowly, i noticed how the sounds around me gradually disappeared, one by one. the shrill pitch of the annoying kid next door, the faint drilling of a very distant constuction work, the low mechanical churn from the fans in my laptop, and the soft clicks from the keyboard, all of them steadily losing their reality, ceasing to exist, ending as silence.
closing my eyes shut, i can feel the silence growing deeper and deeper. like silt at the bottom of the sea, gathering at my feet, crawling up to my waist, my neck. as i feel the layers of silence grow and grow. i discovered, silence is something you can actually hear.
like a tsunami of darkness sweeping across the entire universe. covering every ray, every speck and every organism of living light. you exhale and open your eyes to the newborn night.
catching a whiff of clean fresh paper, like a new book, from a new shop in a new mall. a faint rustle of the first page turning breaks the silence as the molecules that came to a momentary standstill starts moving again.
without a content page, a new chapter begins.
