just before the beginning, when nobody called her nothing. those who came, snubbed their shoes, in her heart. dug it out and cut it up. those small little cut up pieces were boiled and left to shrivel in the morning sun. crows with beady eyes watched, malicious glint like rolling thunder. the little shreds of her heart were finally served on a silver platter, complete with a dash of pepper. piece by piece, they fed her. "is it delicious?" they asked. without a heart, she replied, "yes it is, very delicious." as her tears fell pitter patter, on the silver platter.
