the other day, the nice folks over at L'Oréal sent me their new Curl Impact Collagene mascara together with a liquid eyeliner and some colours to play with.

when i first saw the mascara, i kind of got the idea that i was in for voluminous lashes (reference from the word "collagen"- that stuff is responsible for plump and wrinkle-free skin) and curls that might possibly last for more than 24 hours (way longer than i would intend to have my mascara on).

i love how the brush is slightly wavy to that more formula gets onto your lashes per stroke. because the formula is super smooth and not clumpy at all, it might some across a wee bit wet if youre overzealous in your application (your curls might look droopy after). i recommend that you have a 2-3 second interval in between each coat to allow the mascara to dry first. Upon doing that, your curls will last a longgg time.

PROTIP: apply the mascara in a zig-zag motion to coat each and every lash evenly.

here's mine after an entire day of shopping. no smudges, no flakes. curls and volume remain.

best part? it's a ease to remove - only with the use of warm water! no more constant tugging at your delicate eye area to remove stubborn mascara!

the new L'Oréal Curl Impact Collagene mascara at available at most watsons, guardian, SASA outlets and selected departmental stores for $26.90.

when you question your partner about something he/she used to believe in and practice, but not anymore, that wry, faraway smile could only mean two things.

1) oh look at what we have become now.
2) you were so naive.

if i were more active in facebook (besides the fact that i love an amusing status once in a while) my relationship status would have changed from attached to its complicated, a complicating number of times. (no, i do not even have a status because there is no need for show and tell.)

love should be easy, simple and true. its either i love you or i do not love you. unfortunately, it takes more than love to make a relationship work. even harder if you are talking about two entirely opposites who have entirely different viewpoints on hobbies, schedule, friends, work, life..

'love transcends all' is quite a load of crap sometimes because i dont know what love means. will you change yourself because of love? but if love was the greatest of all, shouldnt you accept your partner's flaws instead of wishing he/she would change? love makes a fool out of you and no sense at all.

when two people get married, they sign above the dotted line to prove to the world that they are in a relationship, forever. to work things out, to go through ups and downs together, to compromise and watch each other's back. but it doesnt guarantee that they will laugh, play or hold each other in bed at night, forever. however, love does.

do you want to be in a relationship or do you want to be in love?

"But I should tell you that you’ll never completely go away. No, it’s not because I’ve stolen a lock of your hair while you were sleeping. It’s because feelings never truly die. Just the seasons and the name of my next lover. Different arms, different genitalia, different smile, different laugh, different moans. Same lows, same highs, same moments of closeness that will make your body shake. Because of this, you’ll never be left behind. You’re carried over into every relationship thereafter. And eventually you’ll die with me. All of the people I’ve ever loved will. But I will be so grateful to die with such lovely lovers. I will let it die." - from an open letter by Ryan O'Connell on Thought Catalog the other day.

Love fiercely. Love blindly. Do not fear. Do not regret.
