the wind outside is howling like a wolf. from my window, the sky is a shade of red, deep dark pink to be exact. i cant see any clouds, not even one. it is all an empty vast gradient of dreary. somewhere, a ship's horn bellows. sort of like a whale's song. peaceful, sad and haunting ,almost otherworldly. wish you were here.

as all the "ghouls" floated their way to party till they drop dead (again), i was snuggled in bed watching gossip girl, rejuvenating for another stressful week ahead. now that, is scary. happy halloween!

yesterday we trooped over to sentosa for their halloween 2010 event - sentosa spooktacular. there were 4 "haunted trails" (one was just a sky tower ride with eerie music in the background, idk in what was is it the "tower of terror", but the other 3 were daytime attractions converted into "huanted" places with "ghouls" popping out from everywhere to get screams out of you. i particularly liked the screaming geisha, picture below.















i shall sum the whole thing up with one sentence, "the most terrifying thing about sentosa spooktacular are the queues to the attractions."

yesterday's highest PSI reading was 107. yup, basking in the unhealthy range. singapore now looks like genting highlands without the highlands and cool temperature, plus lots of pollution. how i wish the haze would clear up, its giving me a stuffy nose all the time. also the burnt smell in the air is causing me to be an embarrassment, to myself. it's a natural human reaction to search for the source of the burning point once you smell smoke right? only that i do it quite obviously with sudden left-right head jerking movements. when i realise that the smell it in the air, it's already too late, everyone has seen my display of neck spams. so please haze, go away and forget about coming back another day.

ps- ive missed out so many wed liberations! no wonder ive been feeling totally stressed out.

the other day, i was going to idp's office and i had such a hard time looking for it. yes, i was at stevens road but that is one hell of a stretch of road. i flagged for a cab and the driver told me it's just around the corner and i could walk over, turns out it was 4 bus stops away. not that im complaining about the distance, but walking the in sweltering heat of 33dc with the sun beating down with a vengence is not funny. God forbid, i only had sunscreen on my face (and like what, spf 25 only?). i can safely say that i accumulated about one year worth of sun damage (that i would normally allow) in that instant. the next day, i was 2 whole shades tanner. very depressing. isnt it the last quarter of the year? shouldnt it be raining? very pointless rant about the heat and haze. but i really hate switching on the air-con, its such an electricity drinker and terribly drying to the skin.

today i turn 21. just like last year, and the next year. and the next, and the next, and the next... happy birthday christine.

inspired by moleskin's "whats in my bag?" exhibition, ive decided to do my own little version.

currently in my bag (l-r clockwise): diary, tissue, purse, namecard holder, keys, itouch, notebook, eyeshadow, face mist, pouch that contains bobby pins, hairtie, eye gel, lip essence, blotters and perfume vial, brolly. (i actually also have my thousand-year-old phone, insect repellent and candy which is on my bed, so i forgot to include them in the picture)

yup, my current palette matches my bag! i love ettusais eyeshadow trio cus i can mix and match any 3 colours that i wanna bring out. the gold and brown are new colours with princess giltter (extra shimmery than the regular ones!), i use the gold (GD2) all over my eyelids to my brows for an instant perk-me-up esp during the midday when i look sleepy. brown (BR6) as an eyeliner and the blue (BL1) when i have a function/event/casting to attend that day. GET EM!

not forgetting my aqua splash to freshen and mattify my skin! (nope i usually just use this instead of a compact powder for touch ups)

someone asked me, "what is love?" i thought for the longest time and could not come out with answer. and then i recalled how they used to have surveys asking kids what love is, to them. because the most innocent of minds could not lie, right? despite that, every single kid had a different answer. love is not like math, or gravity, certain and sure. it's more like art, or a picture you look at, and at that fleeting moment, your mind pauses. that pause is just like love, only that you dont know how long it's going to go on before you turn and look the other way. i think i might have come up with the answer to the question, "love is what you make out of it."

havent been blogging lately because im still trying to get everything back on track since i came back. with more than 85 emails (not counting my 2 other personal accounts) i have been a very busy girl. thanks for checking back so very often for updates only to see the same stale post with a swimsuit up, when i should be gearing up for fall/winter. not that we have the seasons but fashion transcends all. i have just spent the last 10 mins looking at the 300+ HK pictures my friend uploaded on facebook. good times. i shall post some up maybe tomorrow. we're looking at hanoi in december perhaps. i should really stop dwelling in the holiday mood. today was kinda unproductive, i stared at my uncompleted work a lot, and left it as that. the world is my oyster but it seems like ive stopped looking for pearls. need to get my mojo back. also, i turn 22 in exactly 9 days. good lord, i feel like im 30 already.
